Muslims believe in Qadar (fate).

Qadar refers to believing that a person's fate is determined by Allah (SWT). If good happens to a believer, he/she is to thank Allah (SWT) for this bounty. If bad befalls him/her, a believer is to be patient and thankful for this is only a test from Allah (SWT) to determine the level of steadfastness and degree of true belief.
